鍾岱廷 Dai-Ting Chung

出生台南,大學主修材料工程,多年致力於提琴作者系統分析研究及鑒定、提琴資料數位化等等,在構建大型提琴收藏及提琴交易顧問上於國際提琴界相當知名。

1989年開始學制琴,師事王聖哲老師、王麗春老師。1990年完成第一把小提琴。1992年畢業於逢甲材料工程系。

1995-1997年美國賓州的製琴學校(The Chimneys Violin Making School)學習提琴製作,師事美國提琴協會會長Edward Campbell。

1997年於費城的葛樹聲提琴工作室(The Kot's Violins Shop)實習,學習提琴與琴弓製作。
1999年在台南市開設天上有提琴工作坊。
2002年成為奇美基金會轄下奇美博物館指定修琴師。
2004年奇美博物館提琴顧問。
2012年國際提琴製作協會EILA會員。
2014年奇美博物館資深提琴顧問。
2016年美國提琴聯盟AFVBM國際榮譽會員
2017年奇美博物館基金會董事
2022年義大利提琴協會ALI(Italian Violinmaking Association)外籍顧問

Born in Tainan, he majored in materials engineering at university. He has dedicated many years to the systematic analysis, research and identification of violins, digitizing violin data, building large-scale violin collections and consulting on violin transactions. He is well-regarded in the international violin community.

In 1989, he began learning piano making under the guidance of teachers Wang, Shengzhe and Wang, Lichun. In 1990, he completed his first violin. In 1992, he graduated from the Department of Materials Engineering of Feng Chia University.

Between 1995 and 1997, he furthered his expertise at The Chimneys Violin Making School in Pennsylvania, USA, under of Edward Campbell, President of the American Violin Association. In 1997, he interned at The Kot's Violins Shop in Philadelphia, where he learned how to make violins and bows.

1999 opened the Ten Sun Yu violin shop in Tainan City.
2002 the designated Instrument repairer of the Chimei Foundation.
2004 Violin Consultant of Chimei Museum.
2012 Member of EILA (International Association of Violin and Bow Makers)
2014 Senior Violin Consultant of Chimei Museum.
2016 International Honorary Member of AFVBM(American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers)
2017 Member of the Board, Chimei Museum Foundation
2022 foreign consultant of ALI (Associazione Liutaria Italiana)
